This impressive double island kitchen design for a client of interior designer Rebecca Gibrill of B. Styled Interiors, opens up a realm of practical possibilities where it might have been tempting to go for one huge single island instead.
Seen here in our 1909 collection of in-frame cabinetry, the two islands create both a social connected space for family and friends and easy access all around the kitchen. Imagine having to walk all the way around one huge island? Here, you can quickly nip between the two. Two islands also offer up the opportunity to zone your space – one island for cooking, and the other for relaxing.
The two toned Dove and Dust Grey colour scheme, and antique bronze cup handles, along with the delicate Ovolo beading on the 1909 cabinetry offer a delicate, timeless appeal. Traditional features also carry through to the beautiful timber pantries – one for breakfast and one for drinks and seasoning – once again zoning the functions of this commanding space.
With copious storage at every turn, this traditional kitchen is also extremely hard working – extending right through to the boot and utility room with the same timeless look and feel and the messiest, nosiest tasks tucked neatly out of sight.
