In a sleek design where modern design
blends effortlessly with a traditional feel, this contemporary Shaker kitchen sits
perfectly at home in this unique conservatory space.
Designed for a client of Laura
Passey Interiors, this fresh, Porcelain design radiates light and space. Rich detailing from the golden veining running through
the worksurfaces and splashback adds a refined, subtle statement without taking away from the light, single toned canvas.
The full height appliance bank
maximises all the available space, whilst the integrated bar with a black glazed
wine cooler adds a touch of glamour.
Interior Designer, Laura, comments “The Stanton Shaker design, with its narrower frame paired with a slimline trim handle, is a more modern and refined take on an utterly classic kitchen look. So, it’s a way to feel like you’re updating while still staying classic, which was perfect for the client brief and the space”.
“Putting a kitchen in a conservatory is a bit tricky: it’s not where you would usually expect to find a kitchen, and so it can feel misplaced. This is where the classic simplicity of the Stanton Shaker really helped too. It looks really smart and modern without being too much of an overpowering statement within the conservatory setting. Due to the lantern shape of the glazed conservatory roof, which begins at lower level than a standard ceiling, we kept the cabinetry at low level only. This meant that the cabinetry felt calm and grounded, rather than in competition with the complex roof structure above”.
